Chartered Physiotherapist
Richard studied at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, gaining his MSc in Physiotherapy in 2007.
He has gained extensive sports physiotherapy experience working with professional football teams and elite athletes. As well as the challenge of sports injuries, Richard enjoys, and has been successful in, treating lower back pain, neck pain and other work related injuries.
Richard's philosophy when treating work related back or neck pain is to ensure the cause is identified and removed. For example, what is causing work related back pain - poor seating position, screen at the wrong height etc.
His philosophy also applies to sports injuries where pain has developed for no apparent reason, for example, Achilles tendonitis. The cause must be identified and corrected to ensure treatment is effective and successful.
He is a dedicated professional and follows a holistic approach towards patient care from initial assessment through to providing training advice and home exercises to ensure recovery is complete.
In his free time, Richard enjoys playing football and participating in endurance events.
